Reason for running: “I felt I was someone that participated at all Kentucky tracks, and could give a voice to horsemen that competed on all levels in our state.”
Gary was also introduced to the sport at a young age as his grandfather and parents all raced horses. His grandfather actually won the first race ever contested at the now defunct Louisville Downs. Gary has been a successful driver and trainer throughout the state for many years. He continues to condition a large stable based in Prestonsburg that competes throughout the state.
