Reason for running: “I initially ran for the KHHA board to help jumpstart Kentucky fair racing, and have over the years tried to get more people involved in our industry as a sport.”
Jim attended the races at The Red Mile while attending the University of Kentucky on a track scholarship. He continued with his track career after school, and eventually won an Olympic trial before suffering an unfortunate injury that ended his track career. His father-in-law showed roadsters, and they eventually got involved in racing in the mid-70’s. He continues to breed and race primarily on the Kentucky and Illinois circuits, and has focused and been very successful in developing young trotters.
