Len got involved in harness racing at a young age, where he got to see the likes of Joe O'brien train in his hometown of Shafter, California. He raced on the California circuit prior to moving to Kentucky in the mid 90's, where he trained California Horse of the Year, Identify, which will forever be known as driver Ron Pierce's first stakes victory. Since moving to Kentucky he has continued to have success racing at all levels throughout the state.
